Gary Charles Saxon Hope Tribute Fund

Gary Charles Saxon was born on April 18, 1953. He is much loved and will always be remembered by all his friends and family. Gary and I married 0n 9th July 2004 He was my husband and soulmate. He worked as an ambulanceman for 22 years and spent his life helping us. He was always the life and soul of the party and ever the joker and optimist. He loved music and was the trumpet player in Blind Melon Clarke and the Pineapple chunks band for many years. His other love was camping and we were actually camping in Devon/Cornwall when he took ill. We were devastated when he was diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer in July 2008 and despite chemotherapy he lost his battle to survive and passed away at the Christie on 30th May 2009. Following his death I received over 100 cards, some from people I didn't even know, saying how Gary had touched their lives with his good sense of humour and friendly outgoing nature, many from the nurses at the different hospitals he visited during the course of his work. I love and miss you more each day Gary and I was proud to have been your wife and shared your life. All my love always Pam x
